The Scholars are like the Stars

Bismillah
The scholars are like the stars, Allah created them for three things:
1. The stars are a guide for people when they travel. Allah ta’ala says,
وَعَلَامَاتٍ وَبِالنَّجْمِ هُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ
“And marks and sign-posts; and by the stars (men) guide themselves.” (16: 16)  The scholars, in turn, guide the masses in this life.
2. The stars are shields that are used to stone the shayateen who attempt to hear what the angels are saying. Allah ta’ala says,
“and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, Repulsed.” (37:7-9)
The scholars, in turn, refute all the doubts that will be raised by the devil and his followers.
3- The stars beautify the sky. Allah ta’ala says,
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ
“We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars.” (37:6)
The lives of the scholars are beautiful. It is like you’re looking at something beautiful and hearing and knowing about them is beautiful. Living with them for even a moment makes your life even better. Imam Ahmad used to praise the knowledge and scholars: people need knowledge more than food and drink.

The Wisdom Behind The Niqab And Hijab

''O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their veils all over their bodies. That is most convenient that they should be known and not molested." (Surah Al-Ahzab: 59)

Subhanallah, I couldn't agree any better! But what else can we expect? It's the words of Allah, and the words of Allah are always true.

I know that lots of non-Muslims have a hundred insults up their sleeves for Hijabis and Niqabis, but it's very clear that even under all their insults, they have some respect for Muslim women who are covered as Allah has asked them to. You may wonder why? Well, it's for the simple reason that when you see a woman who respects herself and her body, people are naturally inclined to respect her.

Advice to those who are Tried with Watching Porn – Shaykh ‘Abdur-Razzaaq ibn ‘Abdul-Muhsin Al-Badr

Question:

May Allaah reward you and may Allaah bless you. May Allaah benefit us with that which we have heard; and may Allaah forgive us, you, and all the Muslims. This questioner, O Shaykh, says: I implore you, by Allaah, to ask this question (for me). He says in his question: O, Shaykh, give me advice, for by Allaah, I am upon the brink of the Hellfire. For I have been addicted, O Shaykh, to pornography websites since last year. Every time I repent I return to it again. By Allaah, the thing which I hate the most is these sites, but they overpower me every time and they are the reason for my failure. I used to be very successful in my work and in my studies, however, now I am in a state of loss.

Why They Hate Our Niqab

When I first started wearing the Niqab, I felt very awkward when people threw rude comments at me. Later, when the comments started to increase, my awkwardness converted to anger, and there were times when I stared hard and straight at those who offended my Niqab and let them know how angry I was. I know some people who take these comments coolly, but some others, really tend to lose their temper.

Now, thankfully, not many people abuse Niqabis in my country Alhamdulillah. Apart from the occasional ‘ninja’ there’s really nothing much. But at times when they do or when they stare at us as though we are dirt, I’ve learnt to control my anger. I’m no longer intimidated by any comments people throw at my Niqab, because deep down, I know that the only reason they hate my Niqab so much is because they find something undeniably beautiful about it.
Let’s face the fact: Would any of us approach and throw rude comments at a woman who is semi-naked? As Muslims, all of us hate the sight of women dressed that way, because it’s nothing short of a disgusting sight. But would we insult her for her clothing? Obviously not, because we just don’t care about what or how they dress. We might hate it in our hearts, but we would never go to the extent of humiliating them. So long as we are covered, Alhamdulillah, we are happy. And that’s what matters.

Ma sha Allaah, you are beautiful !

How many of us have the habit of comparing ourselves with models and actresses and then end up being depressed with the way we are? I’m sure most of us are. It’s not easy to ignore the slim, beautiful, airbrushed models in glamorous magazines looking stunning with flawless and beautiful skin, and it’s certainly difficult to ignore comparing ourselves with them. But that’s what we have to do. We have to ignore comparing ourselves with them because we’re nothing like them. We are Muslims, and as Muslims, we know that beauty isn’t something that’s just skin-deep; it’s far more than that. And as Muslims, we should also be wise enough to understand that superficial beauty isn’t our aim, and neither is that what Allah looks for. Remember that Allah doesn’t look at our beauty, skin, colour of shape. He only looks into our heart, Imaan and Taqwa. And that’s what we should strive for- to beautify ourselves for our Creator, Allah. Not for people or society.
How many of us spend hours and hours moaning about our skin and our shape? How many of us mourn about our arms being too fat while obviously remaining ignorant and ungrateful for to the fact that Alhamdulillah, we have arms. How many of us thank Allah for our arms, however fat they may be, because it has helped us in innumerable ways. Just because we hate it doesn’t mean we can do without it.

Sincere words from my heart

Dua was what saved Prophet Ibrahim alaihis salam from being burnt from the fire.

Dua was what saved Prophet Yunus alaihis salam from the belly of the fish.

Dua was what brought victory to the Muslims in the Battle of Badr.

Then why is that we still despair in the power of Dua?

Why is that we refuse to believe that Dua can change everything? Why is that we are so miserly when it comes to make Dua? It doesn't cost us anything does it? Then why dont we spend more time making Dua from Allah? Why don't we understand that Allah is not in need of our Dua but it's us who can never do without it.

Solace To a Depressed Heart

Sometimes, when we get depressed, nothing seems to comfort us at all. I’ve had times where depression really hits me hard, but Alhamdulillah, I’ve grown over it ever since I heard that a true Muslim can never be depressed. How can Muslim ever be depressed when he has got Allah right by His side, ever ready to hear all his cries and answer his Duas? How can a Muslims be depressed when he knows that this world is transient and that our true abode is in Jannah where the pleasures we are promised are beyond our imagination. Jannah is such a beautiful place that has pleasures no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard and no mind can ever grasp and comprehend. Each time we are suffering from a bout of depression, just think of Allah and His Jannah, and trust me, it really helps to make you feel a lot better.

When you are depressed, just remember that there is another person somewhere in the world who is suffering a hundred times more than you. This is exactly why our Prophet Muhammad Salallaahu 'alayhi wasallam has asked us to look at people who are not so well off as we are so that we may be thankful to Allah and not look at people who are better off than us because that is when our heart incline to being ungrateful to the numerous blessings Allah has bestowed upon us. This is exactly what Shaitan wants us to feel like, so don’t ever fall into his trap. When any thought like this ever crosses your mind, say A’oozhubillahi min as-shaitaani rajeem (I seek refuge in Allah from Shaitan-the rejected one).
I found this amazing piece on the web titled ‘To you whose eyes are loaded with tears’. I’m sure anyone depressed would find so much of solace after reading this. It made me feel so much better Alhamdulillah!

The Most Inspirational Poem About The Hijab !

No matter how many times I read this poem, it never fails to inspire me! I've read it well over ten times already but each and every word in this poem has such a depth of meaning and I know no one can write such a beautiful poem unless they really loved the Hijab. I’ve such an amazing rush of pride for being a Niqabi Alhamdulillah!

So here's the poem:

No poverty after Paradise and no wealth in the Fire

It is reported that Jundub b. 'Abdillâh Al-Bajalî – Allah be pleased with him – was once asked for advice and instruction. He said:
I advise you to fear Allâh and obey Him (taqwâ) and I advise you to adhere to the Quran, for it is a light in the dark night and a guidance during the day, so implement it no matter how much struggle and poverty you have to face. If a calamity befalls you, put your wealth forward to protect your religion, and if the calamity continues, put forward your wealth and your life to save your religion [but never risk your religion], for the ruined is he whose religion is ruined, and the looted is he whose religion is taken. And know that there is no poverty after Paradise, and no riches after the Fire.

Al-Dhahabî, Siyar A'lâm Al-Nubalâ` 3:174. ( sayings of the salaf [dot] net)

Beautiful story

A little child entered a Masjid in Paris. He went to the Imam and told him : "Sir, my Mom sent me here so that I can study in your school."
"But, where is your mother ?" The Imam asked.
"She is standing in front of the Masjid door sir." The boy replied. "And she is a non Muslim."
The Imam went to her asking her why she, as non Muslim woman, wanted her little child to study in an Islamic school. She simply said, "My neighbor is a Muslim woman. Each time she takes her children to school, they kiss her hands before going. They treat her like a queen. Her family is always happy & I've never seen anyone respect their mother more & I've never seen such care towards a mother. Please, teach my child in your school so that he treats me as Muslim children treat their parents." She said.

A Father's Advice to his Daughter on the Value of Hijab

The Hijab has been terribly stereotyped by people as a material of oppression and female subjugation. What these Hijab and Niqab haters fail to understand is the real, unimaginable beauty and wisdom behind wearing it. There are hundreds of people eagerly waiting to throw abusive remarks at Hijabis and Niqabis, but you know what? Just don't let their opinions put you off. They don't know how precious you are and how beautiful the Hijab and Niqab really makes you. They are ignorant, and you my dear Hijabi and Niqabi sisters are walking examples of what true modesty, beauty of respect for women should truly be! Be proud of that!

I found this wonderful story about the perfect advice of a father to his daughter and why she should be wearing the Hijab. If only all of us can encourage non-Hijabi sisters this way too, because his explanation is just so beautiful. Here is it:
